I'm having an issue with our Digital ENDEC. I feel like I'm not being understood by support, so I will try and be as clear as possible here in the hopes somebody had the same issue and has a solution.
We're using the new blue box from Sage and we are also using an MSRP to send tones to our two HD channels. The way I have it configured now is as follows:
The actual blue box varies from Auto to Manual mode depending on whether or not a human is in the studio.
MSRP Stations:
Station 1: Manual
Station 2: Auto
Station 3: Auto
From what the manual says, The actual blue box overrides the MSRP stations. So, if the box is in Auto, all MSRP stations will automatically be in Auto. If, the box is in Manual, Station 1 will be in manual, but as soon as an alert is forwarded, Station 2 and Station 3 will automatically forward the alerts on those channels.
Is this correct?
Right now, on our box, it doesn't matter if the actual blue box is set on Auto, if Station 1 on the MSRP is in Manual, all timed alerts will be delayed. If a station is using an MSRP, should the actual box mode override the MSRP station modes?
