Could someone please post a set of easy instructions for deleting counties in EAS messages for this unit.? My unit is recieving messages for 70 miles away. All I really need is about 35 miles. Thanks in advance.

Here you go!

Menu > Presets > Local

If the undesired area appears, just hit DEL. To select it if it's not showing yet, hit PREV. Then hit DONE, and reboot, just to be safe.

I recommend the use of the ENDECSET software. If you have newer roms (5.124 or later?), you can use the Windows based ENDECSET. Otherwise, you'll want the DOS EPROG software. Make a cable to go between your pc serial port and the SAGE's "Computer" port on the front. Only TxD, RxD, and GND are needed. I forget if they need to be swapped (null modem). Set up the front port to be a computer i/o, and have fun.

As an added bonus, ENDECSET can be set up to run periodically to sync the ENDEC's time settings with the PC's. (Set the PC to auto sync with an Internet time server!)
