SALARIES

I don't want to be that guy who can't shut up on a forum, but lemme be HIM right now.

I watched a video of someone interviewing Mike Rhyner yesterday. It got me wondering about his salary at KEGL. Now, back in the day, he commanded a TON of money. When I interviewed for the producer roll for the morning show on The Ticket a few months ago, that job alone paid $100k.

Let's take Casey Bartholomew on WBAP. What do you think he's making?
Hawkeye on KSCS?
Jim on KZPS?
Billy the Kidd on Mix?
Jason Pullman on The Wolf?
Celina Martinez on Kiss. Is she local? She's amazing.

You get where I'm going.

Do you think iHeart was paying Rhyner a million?

Does anyone know how much Ben and Skin have to PAY to be on the Eagle?

I doubt it. Salaries today are based on revenue. So it's not actually a traditional salary. He might have been paid a fee, and then he paid the rest of the team from that. They work for him. He could have incentives, sponsorships, and appearances. About a year ago I posted here how iHeart was monetizing their personalities. Sponsored golf tournaments with Mike and the rest of them. Various other endorsements with revenue shares. Not the conventional salary plus benefits. Because the ratings weren't enough to attract traditional spot advertising.

That's a funny question. If you listen to the video I posted here a few days ago, they talk about how they ''invested'' in the station.
