Salem has ended 570 and 970 WMCA co-branding

Salem has dropped the "970 WMCA" branding on 970 WWDJ and has reverted to "970-DJ."

My guess is their finally going to start clearing their Conservative Talk Programs in New York!! Hopefully they'll also find a place for Dennis Miller!!!
 
Salem is still using the Good Guy tag and the vintage Top 40 WMCA Good Guy jingles on 570 WMCA, but dropped them from 970 WWDJ.
As to whether or not Salem will turn one of its NYC stations to a conservative talker: On most of Salem's conservative talkers, Salem has to reach outside of its own stable of syndicated programs to fill the rest of the schedule. Most of those personalities are already being cleared by other NYC stations. I'm sure they could find talkers to round out the schedule, but most of the "big names" are already taken. Maybe some of FOX's hosts could be added.(I don't think Mr. Colmes would fit on Salem, but they have a few other programs with no clearance in NYC that could fit.) Also, the preaching and infomercials are cash cows.
