Salem picks up two more in Mickeytown

As expected, Salem has created a central Florida cluster with the purchase of religious talk 950 WTLN and 1520 WHIM. The purchase gives Salem two of their three core formats in Orlando. Salem recently picked up 660 WORL for their newstalk format. Salem picked up the pair for around 10 million.

One can only guess that either WLOQ or WNUE is next. Mega has been selling stations as of late. WNUE's signal does leave a little to be desired.

WLOQ

I agree...I bet it is WLOQ. Although...WLOQ's signal isn't that great.

Re: WLOQ

>Salem just bought 860 AM in Tampa. They were a Big Band nostalgia station with good (but rather old) numbers. Now it's just terrible. They've replaced it with sydicated ULTRA-conservative drivel and nothing local. Just awful radio.

And the kicker is that billboards for the new WGUL says "Where YOUR opinions count". Yeah... right.
