Salem Podcast Network Extends Charlie Kirk Show

https://news.****************/articles/n40444/Salem-Podcast-Network-Extends-Charlie-Kirk-Show

Salem Radio Network has signed and extended "The Charlie Kirk Podcast" to a multi-year deal. Salem first began selling the program in November, and now will sell and manage the program through the Salem Podcast Network for multiple years under the new deal. Kirk is one of today's rising young stars in conservative politics, writing The New York Times Best-Seller, "The MAGA Doctrine" and has built Turning Point USA into a 250,000 member organization that teaches young people about conservative values.

I've heard Kirk's show. Other than a youthful-sounding voice, it seems all his political opinions are identical to hosts who are decades older. When we see surveys of young adults who identify as conservative, they take a number of different views than their parents and grandparents. They are concerned about global climate change, they are accepting of gay and transgender people and they are comfortable with an America that is racially and ethnically diverse.

I don't hear Kirk say ANYTHING that's different than a Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity would say on any important issue. He NEVER opposes conventional conservative talk radio on ANYTHING. What's the use of being a 20-something talk host if you say everything a 60-something host would say?

It's like Salem and Talk Radio wants to promote Kirk as a way to get more youthful demographics, even though he won't do anything to challenge the beliefs of those in their 60s, 70s and 80s.

I heard a replay of his show the other day and he seems to be an activist / journalist as well as a talk host. Not sure if that's a new thing for him, or the way he's always been, as I never had paid attention to him previously. He said he was going to attend some school board meetings and record the responses when he asks them questions. So it may go a little further than just talking on a mic.
