Salem Replaces Another Local Talker with Syndication

How Salem.

Hogue was one of Salem's few local talkers.

Why should Salem have a local talker in Sacramento when it has none in Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Miami,
and other markets the same size or larger.

Yes, Hogue gets ratings. Salem's business model is not based on ratings. If anything, it's sort of like the
business model Sinclair used to put its "News Central" into TV markets across the country. That model eventually failed. With any luck, the same fate will befall Salem.

Now in Sacramento we will have not one but three wasted signals brought to us by Salem! Are they getting ready to sell these stations if the ownership rules get relaxed by the FCC and the Congress gives its blessing too? Interesting!!!
