Salem Stations To StreamTheWorld?

The final battle may shape up like this.

Most Large groups: Iheart.

Everyone else: Tunein.

Finis ;D

Wait, I thought Salem was secretly part of Clear Channel and basically followed along the same strategies as clear channel but at a delay? Oh, SECRET, right, my bad.

Never mind... looks like they're actually joining the dozen other broadcasters on iHeartRadio:

This gives iHeart roughly 1,000 stations now, yes?

Yes which is the reason for the flip to "streamtheworld" .. Clear Channel's iHeart Platform only supports Akamai or StreamTheWorld on the 'backend' so stations who wish to be included in the directory must use one of those providers for their streaming host/bandwidth.

That explains it, thanks, Matt... I suppose if Hall Communications wants to take its two dozen stations to iHeart, they're ready since they use STW. Currently, Hall pushes apps for each individual station via AirKast.
