Im just curious what do you base this estimate on because I researched pretty extensively on information regarding his current yearly radio contract and could find nothing on the subject.

Salem Sues Insurer Over Denied Defamation Claims Coverage

It will be interesting to see how this lawsuit plays out.
It's all based on the contract. I'm guessing none of us on this thread have read the contract in question. I doubt the attorneys at Salem are so stupid as to file a lawsuit with no legal basis to it. But, then again, attorneys carry out what their clients tell them to do. Although they will inform their clients if the suit has no chance whatsoever of succeeding in court.
And insurance companies are proverbially famous for shirking their promised coverages when it comes time to pay. Ask any car accident victim. They usually end up suing an insurance company, sometimes their own.

Salem's stock continues to remain at pathetic levels.
Yet they pay RNC mouthpieces gigantic salaries, with tiny listenership. They drove away any kind of "moderate" voice, aka Michael Medved. Real business like there.

You are "guessing" way to high for second or third tier radio talk hosts.

His shows are good. I don't recall Bill Bennet, Hugh Hewitt, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager or the others being much "entertaining."
Well this may be a bad logic for this but its no question that Charlie Kirk is the top earner for salem radio networks currently. At the time Rush Limbaugh died he was making about 80 million dollars a year for being the highest rated personality for premiere networks. So that where that calculation of roughly 2 million a year was made.
