Maybe some companies, not Salem Communications. Their corporate mission specifically mentions "Christian and family themes and conservative values." The company was founded by two guys out of Bob Jones University, the school that does not allow interracial dating on Bible grounds, the school too restrictive for Billy Graham (who transferred out).
And then there's Clear Channel, controlled by Mitt's Bain Capital. They backed Cumulus, too.
One per centers on the right spew right-wing "propaganda" - and only right-wing - and say it's "just business." Sort of like how the Mafia hit man says it's "just business" before they shoot somebody. It's funny how these people haven't figured out there are all sorts of people out in the listening audience who are not tea-baggers or religious fundamentalists, who buy things and consume things, but these mega-broadcasters have never figured out they could make money for the shareholders targeting them.
