Entercom President and CEO David Field reeled off market after market where Entercom stations are performing well in the ratings, however, that has not translated to revenue. On Tuesday, Field had to explain to analysts and investors why Entercom had a very disappointing 3rd quarter with revenue from the company's 23 markets dropping 4% from $102.3 Million in the third quarter of 2012 to $98.4 Million in 2013.

"Entercom has implemented a lot of change over the past year or so, related to roles and systems and Field says that caused a disruption which the company is working its way through."

I'm going to guess that some heads rolled and there have been some management changes in multiple markets.

It's interesting to me that Entercom is one of the few major companies (along with Hubbard, Cox, and CBS) that has been committed to live & local airstaffs. They typically have larger staffs, very little syndication, and good commitment to local community. It'll be interesting to see if they can continue to provide those services given lessening revenues. Entercom has also been way behind in digital platforms. Same with Cox. Maybe it's time to start redirecting resources in other areas. That's what other companies have been doing.
