I read abiut some significant layoffs in sales at iHeart Houston in DelColiano's blog. Since his blog tends to be the Natiional Enquirer of the trade pubs and I havent seen mention ofitanywhere else (except blogs and articles citing that as the siurce) I tend to take it with alargegrain of salt. Does anyone know the real story?

I can't speak for iHeart, but I can tell you that the job market in Houston isn't good. Comcast Sports went belly-up and was bought by Root, who fired most of the staff (more than a hundred, from what I heard). So there's a hundred looking for jobs. Then the Fox affiliate transferred to Hub, so there's a dozen or so there pounding pavement. None of this sounds very good if you're looking for work, and it's probably just as tense on the other side of the glass.

I wonder if Univision laid off some of their employees too now that they're broadcasting that show on 102.9 fm.

What show? At what time?
