Please predict. 2007. Good year? Bad year? Local? Direct? NTR? National?

OK, I'll bite. Here's a guess....national will be down everywhere. Local and NTR will be down everywhere that the big corporate companies control the market because their knee jerk reaction to the national will be to "get what you can for it"....you know the old spoiled fruit thinking. Local and NTR will be up, possibly way up, for everyone that stays off the computer and gets into the community to build strong personal relationships. They can more than make up the lost national.

Feel better tcsnrayp?

Thanks for steppin' up Stewy. Mighty happy to have you on (the) board!

Stu...I believe you're on the mark. National may be off 20%. Local will be slightly less than flat UNLESS you put in extra hours and really put together some great ideas, not just sell spots. The thinkers will come out richer and smelling like a rose, the "buy me 'cause I'm #1 and you always bought me in the past" is gonna be looking for new excuses to sell to their managers.

I know the stock market is through the roof. That doesn't mean local businesses think the economy's great. You're gonna hafta work to get them to spend more.

Also, I'm afraid the stock markets are due for a "correction" of about 500 points. EI: Ford and GM are in trouble. What's that old saying, when GM sneezes, Wall Street catches a cold.
