Sam is satellite fed... Also, triple A added.

I didn't realize until this Saturday when I was in Riverbend at my in-laws. I turned over to 105.1 and there was this really bad infomercial (all participants were on a phone line, no clean audio) about cleansing your colon with some kind of vitamin cocktail they were pushing. At the end, it segued right into the middle of a song. Listening a little later, the commercial breaks started in the middle of songs and upcut others.

After a little research, I find that the SAM format is from Westwood One. <-Link.

In other news,

For any interested AAA fans, we're debuting The Sound tonight on 88.1/Greenville, 88.5/New Bern, 90.3/Kinston, and 91.5 at the beach. It starts at 10pm, but will expand in a couple weeks to a 7p-12a format.

Yeah I've known for awhile it was automated. For the radio geek, it makes it much less fun to listen to :)

Every weeknight. Friday has already been a similar format and will change a little bit. It'll start at 9 and will be called Fish Fry Friday night on the sound. It'll have more Americana and bluegrass.
