Sam Meranto

Meranto has a show on KPHE-LD 44.4 that airs three times daily.

He claims what he does is "guided meditation", but made his mark trying to help people conquer problems through hypnotism. Attempts to marry meditation with Christianity - from what I know having studied the Bible for 40+ years, his "spiritual" approach is incompatible with Biblical Christianity.

Who and Who?
::)

Sam Meranto. Sam Meranto. Don't forget the name. Sam Meranto.

He's had brokered pre-dawn/late-night slots on several locals over the years, beyond his current LP antics.

He's been all across the Phoenix UHF dial for three decades. I think I remember first seeing his ads on 5 or 15 in the early '80s, followed by 45, then KUSK/AZ-TV (I think he still buys time there).

I saw both Frank Baranowski & Sam Meranto in the '90s...and they were both a trip! Frank's home office was like Versailles, with gilded tables & brocade furnishings...and Meranto's place on the inside is not at all what you'd expect. That joint on Indian School is the living embodiment of the Tiki Room! Birds & tropical furnishings, soothing music & soft lights...you certainly don't need drugs to be in either place.
You all can say what you want; Sam is not out to scam anyone...he really just wants to help people.

But, guess he didn't do that good of a job with me OR I WOULDNT BE POSTING ON THIS BOARD! ;D

Frank was an acquaintance of my father, sadly, they both are in the great beyond.

But Meranto, is such a cheap assed grifter, its obvious he doesn't spend much of the money he soaks from his victims for any production value above what you'd expect from some 8th grade kids.

Who cares about production value if he helps people lose weight? He attracts clients without having to spend a lot of money on production...sounds like a good business plan to me! ;)
