I agree. I heard some today when I was out.
I know its the first couple of days and train wrecks happen, but what I heard was boring.

I've gone a week without XM and missed it.<P ID="signature">______________

Rehashed from what everybody else in the market already did. Except far more boring! It's obvious when stripped of the rest of his old show, just how old he sounds.

...Middle of the road stuff. Funny moments, some mistakes. I'm sure he has to do some kind of Rita stuff. I'll give him a few more days. See what he does when he does his own thing. FYI- he was on with Chris Baker on KPRC on Sunday. Not KTRH.

Train wreck, yes. The brief time I tuned in he was doing the exact same stuff as every other host. So now we go from Sam to Debra to Chris doing all local same stuff. Why don't they just pay Baker more $$ and get him to do 10a-6p?

Any talker could have taken over this newly opened KTRH a.m. spot. They gave Sam all that money (supposedly) to do this? Should have saved cash and brought over a host from KPRC or somewhere within CC who has the same - or more - b.s. than him. There are a few over there probably waiting for his/her shot.

I'll try to stomach a few more times but then it's satellite for me.

Three shows in and this guy is the most boring snoozefest I have ever heard. You are right. They need to clone Chris Baker. If CC paid big bucks for this, somebody needs their head examined.

How about somebody that doesn't suck? I hear nobody bitching about Chris Baker, in fact nothing but calls of "hey, pay baker more, have him on all day". I believe the post you replied too isn't faulting CC for spending money, its faulting CC for spending money on boring talent. However, isn't cookie cutter, middle of the road, boring media right up CC's alley? Should this be a surprise?

You may be right. I would still give him a chance to get on his feet. He's been off the air for 6 months. I mean people here are still giving KIOL/KFNC the benefit of the doubt and they've sucked since the fired up their transmitters.

He needs to be off the air forever. He had a laugh track with Maria and when that began to fall apart, he decided to screw over a partner of over 20 years and cut a deal with CC. Michele Fischer's non compete will be up soon and I guarantee we'll be hearing more of Mr. Snoozy with his new sidekick. Not that it will help!

At least there will be no doubt as to what time it is when he's on. Need a time check anyone? Holy Toledo! I didn't find his content boring.. but I did notice a ton of time checks.

I'm sure the timecheck will say something like "It's 6:15 Houston and it's Sam Malone on 96-5 with Michele Fischer and the Morning Zoo."
