I was thinking they would probably have to go to a different market as well, but if Cumulus was smart they would morph I93 into a hot R&B format and put Skip & Co on morning drive. That signal is made for urban radio (that's why Service wanted to put KRNB on it). If they put a well known and loved show like Skip in mornings, they would draw much bigger numbers than any format that they have attempted.

Cumulus cant afford Skip & Co.

Did they go back to North Carolina?

I think Chris Arnold has (had) been there since 1979. I believe he replaced Dwaine Caraway on sports. Probably made too much money after all these years, and you know that's the kiss of death in radio these days.

I think Chris was on the Ticket in the early days. Corby was his little buddy.

Who can afford them now?

I got love for you K104, but your morning show is wack now. No news, no sports. Just two women and a man gossiping for four hours with traffic reports thrown in. I'm tempted to start listening to a syndicated morning show.... Ya dig?..

I hate that Sam and Chris are not at K104 because they made the show i will miss them and will not listen to K104 anymore. ???

In my defense, I never listened to the show. But can you tell me how many minutes of each hour actually consisted of "news" and "sports" for that show? Most morning shows have more fluff - whether its funny stories, celeb stories, etc - than they do actual hard news and sports. Unless it's WBAP or KRLD.
