Re: Sam...here's the full press release from CC

"HOUSTON-October 15, 2005-After a 6-month hiatus, long time KRBE morning radio star Sam Malone resurfaces across the street at Mix 96.5. Today Clear Channel announces that Malone will return to the early morning airwaves on Mix 96.5 KHMX beginning Friday October 14 at 6a. This is in addition to his new talkshow on Newsradio 740 airing weekdays from 10a-12p.

"The rumor mill has stirred this up since the day Sam left the airwaves in March. We received so many emails and phone calls from listeners wondering when Sam will be back on the FM dial. When the buzz is that strong you have to listen to it and we have," says Regional VP of Programming Ken Charles.

"After 6 months off the air I have a lot to say. So much so it takes 2 shows to get it all out. I've missed my loyal audience very much and I thank them so much for their emails, phone calls and for remembering me these past 6 months. I'm so excited that Clear Channel has given me this unique opportunity," adds Malone."

Ken Charles noted separately in a staff email that "It is important that I say Roula and Ryan did a good job for us these past 2 1/2 years and I want to make sure we wish them all the best."
