Same shows on 2 different stations...Possible EI block?

The following EI shows are on both Denver's KMGH 7.4 and eastern Iowa's KCRG 9.2:

- 'Danger Rangers'
- 'Go For It!'
- 'Animal Tales' (x2)
- 'Exploration With Richard Wiese' (x2)

I suspect that this is an EI block. AND all these shows air in the order that I listed! Who distributes these shows? And where else can these EI shows be seen?

"Danger Rangers" is part of the Cookie Jar TV programming block provided to CBS stations on Saturday. The programs in the block are provided by the Cookie Jar Company.

Wait...I thought Go For It was Litton [the old EI game show with Tymisha Harris/Nikki Brown, that used to be syndicated, and aired on KIRO 7 here in Seattle between 2003-05] and Animal Tails used to be on PAX. Are these all Cookie Jar programming now? I also see this block on KECY 9 El Centro [Fox] and KXMN Spokane [MNTV].

None of the programs in the first post are owned by the Cookie Jar Company, according to their official World Wide Web site.

Joe, how did you know Animal Tails was Litton? I've been looking all over to find it, and all I see is that it used to be on PAX. I do know Go For It! was Litton [looking at an archived web page from 2003 it did say Go For It on Litton's old site].

It's probably not a full-board block like Weekend Adventure is. Weekend Adventure is syndicated to almost every ABC station in the country. This unknown block is syndicated to only a few weather subchannels, KCRG-DT2 Cedar Rapids, KECY 9 El Centro, CA and KXMN Spokane, from what I've seen.

Back in 2001, there was supposed to be a channel 53 to air eight months to the day that we first got KGCW. However, KGCW's owner filed a petition to block the station ID'd as 951215KK. Now the station, which is now scheduled to air on channel 8, has a very short time right now to get on the air, as the CP expires sometime in July. Maybe channel 8/53 could air this EI "block" when (and if) it finally gets on the air!

Interesting. Then maybe we can figure out who the heck syndicates it, since a select few [and nothing here in Seattle] airs it. Maybe one of the weather subchannels can get this block here.

PS: I never saw anyone except PAX air Animal Tails until this block showed up. I think Exploration with Richard Weise was syndicated IIRC, and Go For It hasn't been seen anywhere since September 2005 [when Sports Stars of Tomorrow replaced it at 4PM Saturdays on KIRO 7, former old timeslot here in Seattle].

I'm in Yakima now and our Me-TV station airs this same block (Danger Rangers/Go For It/Animal Tails x2/Richard Weiss x2). No ads at all, just PSAs. No way to know who syndicates it, the shows just have the logo bumpers at the end from where they came from. They have a big circle E/I on the top during shows.

A lot of the digi-nets run the same E/I programming as other digi-nets and even other local stations.

Meanwhile in Hartford, CT on WFSB Channel 3.3 they air Gina D's Clubhouse as their E/I programing Saturdays 9AM-12Noon. It's been on for years. Channel 3.3 is their all news and weather station Eyewitness News Now. I've seen Gina D on the religious TBN network. I suppose that's where WFSB gets it as their sister station in Springfield, Mass WSHM-LD 21 (formerly WSHM-LP 67) used to be a TBN station. Gina D = Horrible Show. They also DO NOT show the weather and news headlines during this programming which in my opinion sucks.

Back before COZI TV launched and WVIT had NBC Weather Plus on Channel 30.2 they aired their E/I programming with the Weather Information surrounding the programs.
