SAME SONGS, AD NAUSEUM

I have been listening to B 98.5 for eight days now, and I am sick and tired of hearing the same songs over and over again.

It seems like B-98.5 only has three songs in its playlist:

Nothing Compares To U Sinead O'Connor

Obsession Animotion

Genie in a Bottle Christina Aguilera

I know---they did some great stuff for Valentine's weekend. Just do not know why they can't do more of what they played.

I hate these type of stations. I know there's PDs everywhere that likes some songs so much, he/she bases the rest of their station's format around them. That's stupid. Not even if "research" says certain songs are popular in your area - the damn researchers didn't ask EVERYBODY...just a sampling. It's better to play a wide variety of pop with oft-repeated tracks in the current Top 20 than have a handful of oldies like "Genie In A Bottle" Christina Aguilera in constant rotation for no discernable reason.....

Just yesterday you proclaimed they had a 6,000 song playlist.

The only commercial station in Atlanta that will surprise you with a deep playlist is 1690 AM. The birdcalls are a bonus.

My wife LOVES WMLB 1690 (we live in Bellingham, WA, she listens online.) She wishes more AM stations would become more exciting and adventurous....

I agree...though I'm not as studious in stuff like country, esoteric rock and blues as she is. I just like to rock out.....

There's room for everybody between 540-1700 kHz. Do something about it....BEYOND the usual news/talk/sports blabber, religious, oldies graveyard it has become in most areas.....

To be fair, "Baby, Baby" by Amy Grant makes it into the rotation at least every 3 hours.

WMLB 1690 has by far the best playlist in town. The fact that it's mono makes it more charming---like old school radio. I love it.

Even more peculiar....they're a CBS affiliate!

How many AAAish formats can claim THAT?
