Sammy Simpson will join Capitol Broadcasting as Brand/Content Manager for their Raleigh NC properties on September 8.

Simpson programmed Bonneville Modern AC “Z104” WWZZ Washington DC from 2004-2006. He served as VP/East Coast Marketing for Entertainment Partners and VP/Marketing for the New York Daily News. The North Carolina native also served as OM/PD of “K92” WXLK-FM Roanoke and has worked on-air at stations including WMXF Fayetteville and WKSI Greensboro. Simpson also served as National Director of Promotions for Bonneville, Director of Marketing & Advertising for “Z100” WHTZ New York and “100.3 The Sound” KSWD Los Angeles and Director of Integrated Marketing for CBS Radio New York.

Effective on September 8th.
 
WMXF was an Asheville NC station in the late 90s and the letters have belonged to another station in the same market since about 2000. So the Fayetteville station had those letters a really long time ago.

WKSI has gone through quite a few call letter and format changes.
