Wow... that's a hot hour! I love the throwback dance in there, too... nice touch! And it's good to see only two commercial breaks in there... I'm so sick of a break every quarter hour.I'll try to put something together by tomorrow.

My goal was for 13 hits in the hour (at least 52 minutes of hit music) - six before the first stopset and then seven during the second half of the hour. Every hit music format is represented within each half hour - pop, rock, hip hop, and dance. Each half hour leads-off with a hot HI-NRG or rockin' smash, and it leads into a retro trance, techno, or house track. If there's a flaw in my sample hour it would be the lack of any recurrents. I've got 10 current hits and 3 retro hits. I probably should have saved one of the retro hits for another hour and replaced it with a recurrent from the past couple of years - perhaps an R & B hit - also lacking in my sample hour. I always try to keep it at 10 current hits (out of 13) per hour. No single hit is repeated within a three-hour time-period, so the biggest hits would only be played a maximum of 8 times per day (56 spins per week) - about half of what many CHR-POP stations do today. Less repetition. More variety.THE MAJOR

I agree. Very nice playlist.

Ok I don't want to be the only A-hole that finds something wrong with your log, but I must interject. While your music selection is good, your tempo, flow and texture are a little off. Here's your sample: 1158 - "Pump It" - The Black Eyed Peas1202 - "Better Off Alone" - DJ Jurgen Presents Alice Deejay1206 - "Move Along" - The All-American Rejects1210 - "Bad Day" - Daniel Powter1214 - "Walk Away" - Kelly Clarkson1218 - "Ms. New Booty" - Bubba Sparxxx Ft. Holly Brook1248 - "Rock Your Body, Rock" - Ferry Corsten1252 - {AD BREAK}Here's how it can be fixed:1158 - "Pump It" - The Black Eyed Peas1202 - "Move Along" - The All-American Rejects1206 - "Better Off Alone" - DJ Jurgen Presents Alice Deejay1210 - "Bad Day" - Daniel Powter1214 - "Ms. New Booty" - Bubba Sparxxx Ft. Holly Brook 1252 - {AD BREAK}When you do another sample hour, Identify what records are powers, sub-powers, new, power recurrents, recurrents, and golds. I'd be able to go more in depth into my explanation than just re-doing parts of your log.

Hey Sum1special,I can't thank you enough for analyzing my log. ;DNo really. I actually like how you rearranged the hits so that it flows better. I'd listen to that station !I will post another sample hour soon, and I will identify the hits by powers, recurrents, etc.THE MAJOR (PLAYS THE HITS)
