Have at em :)

Very good 90s alt display with Toad the Wet Sprocket and The Verve Pipe. I count 3 spins for P!nk's new single "So what". I really dig that song, and have heard it in heavy play on CHR, but have yet to here it hit the HOT AC/ HOT ACish stations in my local. As a fan of 80s music, I always apprciate how you program a good sampling of 80's cuts and not just the same repetative 10 80's songs.

BTW, kudos on trying to inject some life into this board! To that end I hope everyone does there part.

This board does need to liven up!

My only comment is that Everlong from the Foo Fighters is a little too hard for Hot AC. About 20 minutes later you played Foreigner I Want To Know What Love Is. If you were to play the Foo's, I wouldn't schedule it so close to Foreigner.

This is a very unusual Hot AC but in a good way. If the Jack FM stations can get away with some harder rockin titles then so can some of the Hot ACs in 2008. If the Movin stations can play Hip Hop titles then so can some of the Hot ACs, as has been the case with Will Smith and Kanye West.

Yup. We've always been a rock-heavy market. Sixx AM and Three Days Grace were two of our biggest tracks so far this year.

@Beejus: I have to say, I've seen a lot of the clocks you've posted here before and this one is the most solid of all of them yet. A great mix, well-balanced, you do a great job of taking the more 'modern' tracks and balancing them out with a core Hot AC current or gold hit immediately after. It's a mix that gives almost no one a reason to tune out. Gotta have good TSL numbers for sure.

My two Cents...

In this set
Jason Mraz- I'm Yours
Eurythmics- Sweet Dreams
Collective Soul- Better Now
Staind- Believe
Missy Higgins- Where I Stood
10,000 Maniacs- Trouble Me
Panic at the Disco- That Green Gentleman
Toad the Wet Sprocket- Walk on the Ocean
Foreigner- Too Late

Only one Pop sounding record, "Sweet Dreams" was present. I would not have scheduled CSoul and Stained next to each other.

--stopset--

In this set
Alicia Keys- Fallin'
David Archuleta- Crush
Republica- Ready to Go
Teddy Geiger- For You I Will
Boys Like Girls- Thunder
Genesis- Invisible Touch

Unlike the first sweep which had "rock" records, this set is more pop based. The station would sound different depending on when you tuned in. If I only listened to the first 30 minutes, my impression of what the station is about, would be much different if I only listened to the 2nd sweep. You also had Missy Higgins next to Stained, two new songs back to back with little or no familiarity.

In My opinion, this would have been better, but what do I know?

Alicia Keys- Fallin'
Jason Mraz- I'm Yours
Eurythmics- Sweet Dreams
Collective Soul- Better Now
Missy Higgins- Where I Stood
10,000 Maniacs- Trouble Me
David Archuleta- Crush
Staind- Believe
Panic at the Disco- That Green Gentleman
Republica- Ready to Go
Boys Like Girls- Thunder
Toad the Wet Sprocket- Walk on the Ocean
Foreigner- Too Late
Teddy Geiger- For You I Will
Genesis- Invisible Touch

The hour is more balanced with separation on sound and era.
