No offense intended, Jeremy, but I look at this and see NO balance... I see several long stretches of back-to-back (and more) guitar based pop songs.. I see stiffs left and right (see, BFS "Ohio," Switchfoot "Stars," BSB, Tommy Lee, FeFe Dobson???)... I dunno, man...

For my personal taste too, but for a successful CHR that can work very well.
Go ahead and take a look at what gets played on Z-107.7 St. Louis, Hot 107.9 Syracuse, 96.1 Kiss FM Pittsburgh 104.5 SNX Grand Rapids, 106.1 Kiss FM Dallas, 107.1 Kiss FM Cincinnatti, or of course 102.7 KIIS FM L.A.
All the above mentioned stations tend to do very well ratings-wise, with more then one demo, and some are even more Rhythmic then Atyler's station. <P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by CHRles on 08/26/05 02:54 PM.</FONT></P>

I expect WSNX to be very rhythmic because it spent the 90s as a rhythmic CHR (With Open House Party) and just minorly tweaked mainstream back in 2000.<P ID="signature">______________

Your right Chrles, WSNX was a Regular mainstream Chr before they tweaked it into more rhtythmic. WSNX was also Dance Friendly at one time.

(DUH).....LOL......The only other Chr in Southern Illinois. Kiss wins hands down though. I agree that CIL is boring. At least (it was) 6 months ago, on that boring road trip from St. louis to Cincinatti, on U.S 50.. Corn Cows, and Farms, Boring as H.E.L.L. Both Kiss 92.7, and 101.5 CIL FM are both serving small Farm Towns, I think its cool that they even have a CHR, instead of a Hot ac default.. Both stations do have Killer signals though, I can get both stations on the east border of St. Louis... Thats about 135 miles. Ive also been getting an UNIDENTIFIED CHR on 103.7,,It never comes in good enough to get a station I.D IM hangin out in ST. louis for a while

i think ull be really surprise by the upcoming success and tommy lee. the show only will help it, but besides that, its just that good of a record. it's lifehouse all over. stars will do fine as well. switchfoot has become a core artists for ALOT of chr stations.

Switchfoot. A CHR "core artist". You clearly need to know what makes up a core artist to begin with. Please name us at least 5 true CHR's (Not HAC's pretending they're CHR's) that list Switchfoot as a core artist.

That should keep you busy for awhile.

im not going to stand up for other stations, theyre out there. they can speak for themselves. for my station, SF is a core artist. im sorry we missed out on this is your life.

I'm not saying that I agree with you that Switchfoot is a core CHR artist (they're not), but I will say that I do have MTL as an active recurrent, at probably 10-15 spins a week still.

SF provides a bit of balance, true.. But I would NOT call them a CHR core artist.

Just my humble opinion, though.
