No CHR in the Top 10? Really? Actually, there's no CHR in the top 12! Not only are there 3 CHRs, but all of them sound terrible. KBBT has simply disintegrated, like taking air out of a balloon. What was once a Rhythmic powerhouse has fallen and can't get up. No live jocks? Maybe you can get away with that in some other formats, but not CHR.

KTFM has sounded rather stale as of late and has mediocre talent, but sounds the best musically.

KXXM is the better sounding of the three, although they use a lot of out of market talent. But this is market #25. None of these sound up to par.

These stations are basically beating each other up. One of them has to go, or all three will be under a 3 share for a while. I don't think San Antonio has lost interest in Top 40 music, it's just that nobody is doing it right.

Part of that is that new music has ground to a halt. Hard to do a format built around currents when the big stars aren't releasing new music. You look at the Top 40, and there are very few big names, and some songs are almost a year old! The big stars seem to be waiting until they can do big tours again. That may be 6-8 months away.
 
Doesn't The Beat have one live DJ? Hammburger was there last I heard.

KTFM air talent is horrible. With Nick Trey leading the pack. 🤮

I think part of the struggle with KTFM and KXXM cracking the Top 10 is due to Magic 105.3. Magic's playlist includes most of the artists on Billboard Top 20.
