San antonio Ratings 1067 change soon?

Wow Z drops to 1 now, gues its a matter of time before they change? Thats lower than they were when they were dance! I quit listening to them a long time ago. they must be competing with AM stations now... I'm acually thinking of going with XM I like BPM on my direct tv... Not sure yet though what to do, I have been listening to a lot of Internet radio also.
______________

From what I've heard, as low as the ratings are, the sales are still better than when the station was dance. Cox will not base its decision on one bad trend, or even one bad book. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Z-106.7 wasn't long for the world. It's been in the lower class for awhile now.

That's not what I've heard. I hear 106.7 Jamz was billing more than Z but that's all hear say. Regardless, I think Z will likely flip and go after The Beat. Hopefully, they'll bring someone who knows the vibe of the city.

I don't see KELZ lasting long with Mainstream Top 40. San Antonio is definitely a Rhythmic town and since Cox does owns four of them (WBTS/Atlanta, KPHW/Honolulu, WHZT/Greenville[S.C.] and WPYO/Orlando; five if you can count WBHJ/Birmingham), the best thing for them is make Z106.7 a Rhythmic, plain and simple.

You're right, San Antonio is a Rhythmic town and it's been like that for many years. Mix 96.1, Z106.7, and Jack 102.7 will likely continue to receive the same ratings. Jack does play some Rhythmic tunes but it's overshadow by the amount of Rock they play. If Cox does decide to go Rhythmic, I hope they sound like the original KTFM.

I'd like to see another flip for 106.7 instead of a CHR or Rhythmic station. I could say a "rock buddy" for 99.5 Kiss by having 106.7 become modern rock but highly doubt it. What about classic country? Possibly but I know it wouldn't make a huge impact. And I hope an all-80's format would not launch there.
______________

People seem to like KISS a lot. They killed off 2 previous rock stations, Q96 in the early 90s and recently KROCK. Man I remember when KISS played stuff like Journey haha. Anyways, classic country would be cool, but I think that one of our current country stations should take the KVET route and mix in classic with current. I would like to see a return of smooth jazz or a true urban contemporary format. Or are we not "ubran" enough?
