So THIS is what Q106 and B100 had to compete with?

Interesting. No suprise that they were using the same jingle package as sister KIIS FM.
And just think, if 102.9 KS-103 were around today, San Diego would have their very own KIIS Clone. Thank goodness that didn't happen...

Who owns 933 again?

KS-103 had a lousy signal in the south county area, and I rarely listened. Plus the DJs sounded like they were using CB radio microphones :D

Just wondering what happend to that jock thats on the KS103 aircheck.

That sounded like Mark Hanson/Jaggerr... But i thought Jagger was up at KKHR (KNX FM) LA about that time? I have him on a KKHR LA aircheck from 87.

I thought it was Captain Fogel on that aircheck. I used to love listening to KS-103 when I was a
teen. They had a guy on in the mornings in 1984 named Crazy Dave Otto. I also remember
when I was in High school, I got in my car and started tuning to KS-103,when I accidentally
broke off the knob on KSON! I was bummed!

Wow, Crazy Dave was also on KBest for a while in the 90s. Boston also had a guy on the morning named Crazy Dave, for a while, and that station was also a Top 40 on 103. Completely random thought, I know...

I think that was a different "Crazy Dave" on KBest.

Come to think of it, yeah, "Crazy Dave Otto" WAS the guy in Boston! Either diff person with the same name, or came to San Deigo when WHTT went off the air in 1986. But that would mean he was only on KS-103 for one year.

If I can recall, "Crazy Dave Otto" was on KS-103 in 1983-to about 1985. I think Crazy Dave went to Denver after SD. KS-103 had a shock jock named Randy Miller in 1986. He was practically run
out of town for making some comments on the air. He was pretty tame compared to Howard Stern!
