SAN DIEGO ARBITRON RATINGS: MARCH 2011

What taking KYXY down?

What's really pathetic is KCBQ. The collapse the past six months is amazing. Time to send Mark Larson
back to full time snake oil pimping

Wintertime is not nice to 1170 in San Diego. The signal during the day is 50,000 watts. The night time is 2,900 watts. With sunrise in December around 7:40a.m. and sunset at 4:45p.m., the signal doesn't reach until well after sunrise.

But that doesn't excuse the programming. Most of the shows on weekend and some at night are brokered.

Excuse me? WINTERTIME is not nice to 1170? How about Spring, Summer and Fall. Nobody is listening to this hybrid of brokered programming and lightweight wanna-be rightwing zeroes on a pathetic AM signal. This is a broke-d---, non-starter station. And Chris Carmichael is trying to tell us that the 30 minutes they tune down in the winter is hurting them. Puh-lease!!!!!
