Depends where you are in So Cal and the weather. In the summer, when the weather is very hot, you can get most SD stations loud and clear (and TV stations too). Some areas, you can consistently get SD stations, especially by the coast.

I've picked up SD stations as far north as San Luis Obispo (I remember being able to tune in 106.5 when I was up there once).

your right during the summer i do get alot of san diego stations But today i get every san diego FM Station

These FM Station i usually Don't Get Because i live Too Far north
93.3
94.9
98.9
102.9

Often, temperature inversions cause the San Diego stations to pop up in Los Angeles (and vice versa). We had some weird weather this morning, with fog hugging the ground in some places....

They also get out over the water. I used to hear quite a few SD/Tij stations when I was in Santa Barbara many years ago. Other coastal areas do well too. I can often catch them booming in as I drive along Palos Verdes Dr. South.

Other good places to hear them (sometimes) are in the canyons, such as Sepulveda Pass (I-405) or Laurel Canyon Blvd....

93.3 and some of the TJ stations (minus 90.3 and 91.1) seem harder to pick up or are more geographic particular.

When I lived in Yorba Linda, I used to get 90.3 year round loud and clear and when it came to TV, the only channel I could pick up there in XETV 6 (while 6 is the hardest to get in places that get 8 and 10). In Corona, I could pull in 100.7 loud and clear with an amplified antenna as well as 106.5 and 94.1. TV-wise, I could ONLY pull in channel 69. It always facinated me to try to get SD stations back in the day. When I was a kid, I always wished I lived somewhere where I could get both LA and SD. Nowadays, it's much harder to get SD station partly because of more interference and partly cuz of LPFMs on 90.3, 91.1 and 100.7.

When you look at California, it kinda makes sense that SD stations penetrate parts of the L.A. market and vice-versa. San Diego and TJ kind of stick out in the water and LA and the So Cal coast are really a direct shot right across the water. As the crow flies, SD is really not far away either. It is kinda weird that you can get a lot of them in the Valley. Also kind of find this strange. I can get KIFM/98.1 in La Quinta/Indio on certain days. There are so many mountains and valleys between there and SD, it's peculiar that it could penetrate that far.

It only lasted for one day but still get 91.1,90.3,98.9, and 101.5

Ps has anyone notice KMVN And KPWR FM have cut down commericals the last two weekends From 12 minutes to 8-10 Minutes

Probably because they aren't selling enough commerical time, especially where KMVN is concerned. Who wants to buy losers anyways?

Back in the 1970's I could pick up 90.3 in Bellflower year round on cheap radios. In the alte 1980's I recall getting it clearly on the car radio in Burbank.

Up in Los Angeles (especially when I used to drive up and down Sunset Blvd.) in the mid-1990s I used to get 90.3 and 91.1 clear as a whistle. Then the religious translators stepped in. Sadly, since the start of the decade you now can't hear those Tijuana blasters... only preachers.

P.S. Until around 2003, you could also hear San Diego's XETV-Channel 6 on 87.7. But then the Spanish religious low power TV station on Channel 6 was launched... and since then, only Spanish preachers.
