San Diego visits San Antonio 7-22-08

I was driving on the North Side of San Antonio this morning and found a few "first time guests" on my trucks radio here in San Antonio:

91X (91.1) out of the San Diego area (heard their morning show talking about Mississippi being the most obese state). XETRA is licensed out of Tijuana

94.9 KBZT - I'm guessing that was the station as they played "New Years Day" by U2 circa 9:15AM

96.5 KYXY - They were advertising HD Radio and I caught an ID

98.1 KIFM - discussing a jazz concert in an oceanside or "Oceanside" park and I did hear the KIFM Calls.

101.5 - KGB - never heard an ID, but it was clearly a morning show. They completely overpowered 101X out of Austin which can be heard on the same frequency at times in the 281/1604 area of San Antonio

I caught both Spanish and two Country stations on 94.5, but couldn't ID the trifecta.

R & B was heard on 92.5 and my hunch is that would have been XHRM.

On 95.5 I heard two from the Who "Long Live Rock" and "Squeeze Box"; my first guess was KLOS, but I checked their webpage and it wasn't them (KLAQ???)

I've pulled in Arizona FM's during an E-Skip here in Texas, but this turned out to be the first California FM's I've received.

Only if Sea world here in San Diego could be as big, with more rides as the one in San Antonio. :D :D
