Entercom's KWFN-FM in San Diego has substantially improved its signal through the launch of a MaxxCasting system from GeoBroadcast Solutions. The four-node single-frequency network (SFN), which represents the first commercially deployed HD Radi Single Frequency Network (HD SFN), extends clear FM and HD Radio coverage up and down the busy Interstate 15 and State Route 78 corridors. The improved signal also increases penetration with Nielsen PPM Portable People Meters (PPMs) to help broadcasters accurately measure audiences and set advertising rates

I will have to test this new system here in the North Carlsbad / East Oceanside / West Vista area to see if the KWFN signal has improved. I wonder if this will also improve reception of the HD-2 and HD-3 subchannels? Good timing since the San Diego Padres season is about to start next week!
 
According to RadioLocator.com, KWFN now has boosters on Mt. Whitney (west of Escondido) Black Mountain, and in Bird Rock area of La Jolla.

From my current experience here in the areas mentioned, it is still spotty.
Once one reaches Vista headed eastbound, the San Marcos booster kicks in and helps immensely.

Escondido seems to have also improved overall from their booster, obviously depending where one is on the terrain.
Up one hill and down another, it can change quickly.

I haven't noticed a big change in Encinitas where there was scheduled to be a booster.
Edit: There was a modification to the application dated 4/15/2020 which may be affecting this particular booster.
