Sandra Fluck?

I thought he may have pronounced it that way because it rhymes with...you know.

(I used to see newspaper ads for a theatre called the FLiCK --logo put that way...hmm,
and if they'd used a capital I it would look even more like the word...you know.)

Yes, we had a local talk show this morning making it clear this what they were doing.... the fhymes with... snicker, snicker.

Somewhere last night I came across a source the looked reliable that pointed out the proper rhyme is with 'look'.

In the context of this whole fiasco, it should be obvious to anyone engaged in either talk or news that she has a name that lends itself to being distorted into making some kind of snide insinuation, and a professional would go out of his or her way to make sure they obtained the PROPER sound-alike and provide her with the courtesy and dignity and saying it correctly.

But I guess this is the day and age where it is a bit of lunacy to think we would be courteous to someone.

I guess she can pronounce her name any way she wishes but I would pronounce it so it is identical to a whale fluke.

I stand corrected. I thought it was pronnouced just as it is spelled. "Fluke" but the mainstream talking heads are pronouncing it "flook" that rhymes with "brook" or "Snooki". But Rush is the first one I've heard pronnouce it "Fluck"
