Considering Sandusky's actions lately, how long till they go to the bird for 98.9?

You're probably right.

Wonder if they will be handing out beef jerky at station events.

I think it would be great if this new service actually plays JAZZ, cuz' what 98.9 plays is NOT jazz, smooth or otherwise.

Suit: Not a chance! Broadcast Architecture actually calls the shots at KWJZ. They are the "consultant" and their input determines in large part what KWJZ programs, what the liners say, who VO talent is, etc. Just check out the "Smooth Jazz" station in nearly any other market and you'll hear the same stuff. (Even in London!) So their syndicated offering will certainly be more of the same. Wonder which of the Smooth Jazz artists B.A. will tap to be hosts?

Remember, they don't claim to be "Jazz". You want "real" jazz just head on down the dial to 88.5.

If you're gonna say "jazz" you better mean "jazz." Not Kenny G, Marvin Gaye, etc. Please. However, all the jazz musicians I like are all dead (Kenton, Don Ellis, Maynard, Buddy Rich...) so I have old tastes.

Suit, you're right. No argument about what real Jazz is and it sure ain't KWJZ.
The Smooth Jazz stations have been answering that complaint for years...Let's face it, it's the Beautiful Music (remember Drake-Chenault?) of today!

Gee, you think Kiss will start playing Top 40 like Herman's Hermits?

KISS-FM

No- but if they blow in Peter Noone's ear, he'll follow them EVERYWHERE....
