Sandy Beach goes to a four-day work week

Wait. Is this "the" Sandy Beach... like, from years ago? With all due respect and sensitivity, didn't he pass away a while back. Last time I head him (which was a while ago) his voice sounded pretty bad... kinda like when a seven second delay is being activated after a bleep-out... not quite slurring his words, but close. I thought (I guess, erroneously) that I heard/read that he was gone. Good for him that he's still able to work even four days... 'cuz he can't he anywhere near a spring chicken.

It's the same Sandy and he's very much alive, a cancer survivor in fact. You may have heard him while he was undergoing treatment. Chemo and radiation are no picnic, but he went to work. His political bent is contrary to mine, but from what I hear he remains clever and enjoys what he's doing. That said, there will come a day when he says no mas. When that happens, there will be a huge void, much like the void many AM talk stations will face when Rush cashes it in. These talk stations may try to develop new players, but many of them just don't pass the litmus test with listeners.
