Buffalo Sandy Beach

This is worth checking out for some Buffalo broadcasting memories...
Check out Buffalo Broadcasting on Facebook or WKBW Radio on Facebook. Sandy has been recording videos and sharing stories.

If he was still on the air, I'd listen. Bauerle is either "out for the week" or moving to Florida... ugh. And the other WBEN hosts aren't as compelling to listen to as Bauerle... and Beach was even more compelling than Bauerle, perhaps because of his years of experience and his "old school" approach to radio which sounded much more interesting than today's blandness.

Are there any airchecks out there of Sandy Beach during his 2 year run as the PD of WJET 1400 in Erie from 1974-1976?

Sandy's well into his 80s, has face a number of physical challenges, and sounds like an old man on the air. He's already established his legacy. Let the guy enjoy his retirement! Believe it or not, there is life outside of radio. He can contribute if he feels moved to do it on his own schedule.
