Sanford coverage

I am in the Atlanta area right now, and Mark Sanford is a very big story even here, with him arriving at the Atlanta airport, and his affair.

I wonder how the coverage is in South Carolina. Did all the TV stations air his press conference?

Did any radio stations air it?

Let that be a lesson to everyone who doesn't play along with the agenda. You'll be targeted for a sex scandal and then told that it's because your party claims values. :D

There's a good article in today's Charleston City Paper that describes Richard Todd and Rocky D's shows on WTMA. On the day of and the day after Mark Sanford's affair, Richard Todd stayed on an extra two hours to take calls about Mark Sanford, and Rocky D fill-in Jack Hunter extended his show an extra 3 hours, preempting Sean Hannity, so that they could air more coverage about him.

Here are the articles from the City Paper:

One about Rocky D: http://www.charlestoncitypaper.com/...of-rocky-d/Content?oid=1235184#readerComments

Get serious--the media sat on news of Sanford's affair for months---specifically THE STATE held the famous love e-letters and never made any effort to check them out. Several members of the WIS anchor staff, namely Hannah Horne and Dawndy Mercer-Plank have gone out of their way to defend Sanford. The truth is, Sanford has mostly gotten a pass from the media for the last six years, as he has worked to destroy the state of South Carolina. I have to wonder what values you're talking about.....

Oh, just go for a midlife crisis that lasts a couple of decades or so. You're sure to be the obsession of at least one idiot per decade who wastes his/her life away, spending all of his/her free time trying to find out where you are coming from and where you are going based on what they see, hear or have passed along to them. While you move ahead with a soul full of love or a heart full of soul - or both - the idiots are still sitting in their little nowhere worlds, unknown to any but those who go about looking you up or having others look you up wherever they have an opening.

No need to be elected to have a scandal - just be somebody.

my bad if you took time to read it. it was my quote. never joke with radio people. they always think they have the good line that closes the break.

And then there are those of us who make the most of the moment and jump on it.
