I own Sangean’s current HD component tuner. I think the model number was HDT-20. The sensitivity on a three element outdoor antenna is excellent. No signal booster needed. 89.5 WAHS from Michigan comes in, and I am about 50 miles away. It is less than 3 kw. On a HD broadcast the stereo separation sounds as good as it gets to me. I also have the Sony HD Clock radio that came out after the XDR-S3HD. The one edge it has over the Sangean tuner is selectivity.
