It's been discontinued back in the mid 90s. I don't know the size of the internal ferrite antenna. I never had this radio or the similar Sangean 803; wish I did. Some info can be seen at http://www.dxing.com/rx/ats803a.htm and http://www.radiointel.com/review-ats803a.htm.
