It would be an odd choice given current conventional wisdom about the format: that it attracts listeners advertisers and ad agencies don't want to spend on. WTRY is one of the very few oldies stations that still brands itself as "Oldies." Now there'll be another? What's in the water in the Capital District, and have the advertisers there been drinking it?
From what I've heard so far WTRY & WROW are completely safe. The new "rewind" doesn't resemble either of them in any way shape or form. I certainly wouldn't classify it as oldies!
