EMF will retain KSFQ.
EDwalker said:And not to rain on anyone's parade - but the New Mexican reported that Clear Channel had lost money on KBAC for two years now. The question comes to mind is how KBAC will make money now, especially with the same management. Just wonderin'...
Kent said:The theory it seems the KBAC people are pushing is that Clear Channel overpaid for the property, which it did, and didn't know what it was doing since they moved the format to 104.1. They say KBAC did far better before it was moved to 104.1, when it still had most of the same staff, and seem to believe it could do that well again without Clear Channel's interference. I'm not sure any of that means they'll be successful, especially if they overspend on getting the station heard in Albuquerque again, but it seems at least based on some degree of fact.
