Santa Has Made It To The River

Like every year at this time, The River, WRVR, 104.5 now plays all Christmas music.

Jerry is really gone? Damn. He was there a long time. I guess if you don't pull an air shift you don't get to work anymore, unless you know how to screw the wires together, and even then there ain't no guarantees.

That's likely due to the Webmaster getting sacked around the same time as Jerry... YAY Consolidation! While Santa is on the River, there are a couple of people in danger of "Living in a Van by the River, eating Government Cheese"...

Despite some of the opinions on this board prior, and currently, Jerry Dean was a pretty good guy to work for. His sacking leaves me to wonder from a far what's next for the stations? Things are a lot different than just 4 years ago when I left, and seeing moves like this make me feel even better that I did so.

Merry Christmas to all my friends still in it, may it be a great consolidation free zone for you in 2012...

They were after me to be Chief Engineer a few years back but the timing was wrong. I did have heavy involvement a couple of years ago in building their new facilities, and though we had little contact, I did enjoy working with Jerry and all the others there at the time.
