Santa returns on Halloween

It's been nice as part of the radio courses I teach, this topic just came up as part of our programming discussions.

The students now rather than get annoyed that in some markets Christmas music starts in October on select terrestrial signals, they understand the WHY. Ratings, sales rates, an often significant boost in businesses tuning you in and a station performing beyond it's regular format.

It's business win.

They understand that now.

Of course! I am glad you are teaching the “why”. I just posted this as informational. I do sometimes wonder if any studies have been done on how listeners tune out vs those who tune in.
