Sarandis to leave WEEI...

With the announcement of Ted Sarandis leaving, who do you think is in line for the evening job at America's #1 sports station? Any ideas?

Jon Wallach? Not Dickerson, because of his other gig.

Mike Adams or Chuck Wilson?

whoever it is, I'm a lot more likely to listen now. I largely tuned out Ted a long time ago...

Mike Adams?

Big news from the folks on Guest St. Interestingly enough, one theory as to why Entercom decided to put the Celts on WRKO rather than WEEI
was not just the "avoid conflicts with the Sox" deal, but the thought that Ted, like him or not,
was getting good ratings so they could have the Celts game on the sister station AND
Ted doing talk on 'EEI.<P ID="signature">______________

With Ted Sarandis giving-up his nightly show on WEEI-850, I wonder if Entercom may decide to go the cheap route and replace him with syndicated fare from Fox Sports Radio.

Were 'EEI to replace "Ted Nation" with Fox Sports Radio, they'd pick-up (except on nights when the Red Sox or BC men's basketball play) FSR's evening show (hosted by Craig Shemon and James Washington) from 7 to 10 P.M., and the full four-hour J.T. "The Brick" show from 10 P.M. to 2 A.M. (currently, 'EEI picks-up the last two hours of "The Brick", from 12 Midnight to 2 A.M.).

I'd think they'd stay local till midnight as they have been, and especially
have local content on after Sox games. Can't
picture them going to FSR after a Sox game wraps up (something that only
happens when they play a very late game)

I love Adams but he is a tad one-sport focused. Wallach is a good choice. Who was it that subbed with Holley before Holley joined the mid day? Steve Burton? If Lobel decided to walk away from TV I'd point to him as a night co-host. There was another Johnson (not Larry) that guests on EEI every once in a while.
