Sounds like Mr. Happy and WEEI could be headed for splitsviile soon.
What's the over and under on Meterparel calling BC hoops
this year?

If Baker's story is indeed true, then let's just hope they get
someone on nights who actuallys interacts with callers.
______________
"I am walkin' here!!!"

Yes, I am a radio sales weasel but there would
be no programming if it wasn't for loooong commercial breaks. Remmeber that!

Ted sounds like he expects to be back at BC. I don't know who will be doing football. Why wouldn't they want continuity between broadcasts? I still think something will break in the sports area and I'm not talking about 1050 arriving or WWZN leaving. Harassment? I don't see Ted going anywhere soon.

Now that its mentioned, Teddy's act is getting a wee bit tired.

>>"but WEEI spies report"

one of the "moles", checking in! (Spies, moles, whatever.)
Ironically enough one article I read about the Celts moving to 'RKO said that
WEEI would get better ratings with Ted Nation than the Celts and that could
be one reason why they got shunted on to 680.

Ted can be interesting at times especially when callers like Ray from Lynn
check in (baseball expert). When kids or teens call in, though, he abruptly
tells them to "call back in about 7 years". Who's to say that some kid might
actually be a bit of a sports fan with at least some knowledge and he and
Ted could carry on an interesting conversation? But that's just Ted for ya.
Guess you gotta show ID before entering, so 17 year olds who are baseball
whizzes, you're outta luck.
(And I know many here complain about his political stuff, etc.) Personally
if the Sox aren't on I'll check out talk on 96.9 instead, unless there's
an interesting sports story going on in which case I'll tune in Ted for awhile.

I've listened to Ted for a while and now I am really getting tired with his show. I think it would be best if he let his show go. As to who could replace Ted, I would like to see maybe Mike Adams get overnights. He's very personable and is great with callers and gives everyone a chance to be heard.

Re:eek:bjectively speaking about Sarandis/WEEI

I used to love his show when it was sports. The minute he started getting into politics it got weird. Sports and Politics don't mix, ask Curt Schilling.
Bad move, Curt! Ya shoulda backed Kerry. See what I mean - add the two into one essay and people get mad!

Haven't wanted to listen to The Nation in awhile - he's too condescending,
Mr.-know-it-all - though it is better than hearing the cacophony

1. Jarring, discordant sound; dissonance: heard a cacophony of horns during the traffic jam.
2. The use of harsh or discordant sounds in literary composition, as for poetic effect.

that is THE BIG SHOW.

I've always thought that Ted had an uncanny knack for finding the dark cloud surrounding any silver lining. For me, that got very old very quickly. And yes, I too think his manner is extremely condescending. Correctly or incorrectly, he projects (at least to me) that he would much prefer to be ANYWHERE else and doing anything other than his show. I wouldn't mind at all if Entercom-Boston gave him that opportunity. Alas, I'm sure he would quickly land on his feet, so I'd better be careful of what I wish for. With his ultra-right-wing politics, could his next stop be WRKO?

I usually only listen to Ted's show, when he's out LOL I love it when Wallach or Mike Adams is filling in. I can't stand to listen to a show that the host sounds like a cranky old man yelling at people talking non stop about BC Sports (my apologies to Eagles fans) and a retractable roof that will never happen.

One call that came into him a couple months ago that I heard (was driving and had to listen LOL) A guy called in and had a question. "When Schilling comes back from the DL....." Teddy cut him off saying "Wait Wait Wait! Are you a doctor? How do you know he is coming back? What kinda of expertise do you claim to have to know he's coming back? You don't know! It's disingenious for you to say he's coming back when you don't know!" This was bad, Teddy was just a plain jerk to this caller who was gonna ask a simple question.

Re:eek:bjectively speaking about Sarandis/WEEI

I've never been able to stand him... it's the only show on the station that I will dileberately avoid... I've never met him, and maybe he's a nice person, but I'd sure love to be able to listen at night.

" Ted has done this many times, he goes balistic on a number of callers, in my opinion undeservedly. That said, he does stick to sports and Ray from Lynn is worth the price of admission hands down. But I am, too, a Mike Adams fan..he's a good doobie, or at least he can roll one.

Re: Teddy's ready for a change

It's sounded for months now, to this uninformed listener, that Teddy is tired of what he's doing.
I have no inside info, just basing this on what I hear on the air.
It's a shame, because when he's on his game, he's usually entertaining.
If he goes, I think it would be wrong not to give Mike Addams a shot. Seems to me he's earned it.

AND WHO WILL THE OTHER PERSONALITIES HAVE TO MAKE FUN OF ONCE TEDDY'S GONE?

I'd be willing to find out... they already have other punching bags... Michael Felger gets ripped on... so does Dale Arnold. And they constantly take potshots at Eddie Andelman, which is kind of odd because Eddie isn't even a blip on the screen compared to WEEI...

Sarandis is the reason I stop listening to radio at 7pm. I typically lsiten to radio when I am dome at the gym (around 7am) and have been a hardcore lsitener to WEEI for years. Sarandis is at his best when he has guests, mostly because they force him to curtail his ego and negative attitude towards people who he feels are not up to his par. I won't miss him.
