I have a friend that works at XM and he was telling me that they are going to start doing telemarketing to local markets by format with free service and equipment for 6 months, Terrestrial radio continues its demise Thoughts??????????

Here we go with the predicting radios demise comments again. Personally I listen to both terestrial and satelite, I have Sirius. It all depends what I"m in the mood for. If I want top forty, country, oldies, etc I listen to the local stations. If I want classic alternitive, 80's pop, or any number of nitche formats then I flip on the SIRIUS. There is room for both Satelite and terestrial radio. Remember, as has been beaten to death on thease boards, people have been predicting the demise of radio for decades. It has not happend and won't. The terestrial radio we listen to in the future may be different but it will survive just fine.
