SATURDAY AFTERNOON RADIO SNAPSHOT

Went out of the building for lunch on Saturday.
First time in about 6 months. My wife, in Boston
with 11,000 terribly dressed librarians gave me
orders to let the dog out. Which answers the
ultimate question, just who did let the dogs
out??? On the radio, WARM had polkas, (yes polkas!!!)
ESPN was talking about the final 4, and Corey
OBrien on WILK was talking to a 10 year old from
Old Forge. On the FM side, spots but heard a Paula
Abdul song on 92.1 FM. After that, I put a Temptations
CD in for the ride back to work.

Years ago, Yonk, I'd often travel roughly half way across the state and back on weekends, and my opinion of weekend radio back then was pretty low. A writer for R&R once referred to weekend radio across the nation as a "Ship of Fools." Apparently, and beyond belief, it has gotten even worse. Alas, there was one shining star in the bunch, a station mentioned in another thread here just the other day, and that was WMLP. We're Music Loving People! Never worked there, always wanted to, it was truly a great little radio station.
