Here in the Hudson Valley New York, brief Saturday morning DX, then some good Saturday evening FM DX, although much of the time signals were kind of choppy… made it hard to hold onto a signal long enough to ID it. Many stations went unidentified.

Morning session:
WTLT - 93.7 Naples, FL tentative at 10:03am w/ lite AC. 1158 miles.
WSRX - 89.5 Naples, FL tentative with contemp christian mx, and mention of McGregor Baptist Church (Ft. Myers), at 10:47am. 1169mi.
Other previously heard signals were heard from the same area, west coast Florida south of Tampa

Evening session began with good signal from:
KDHX - 88.1 St. Louis, MO with “Coin Operated Radio” program at 7:52pm, with antenna still aimed at FL from morning session. 904mi.
KISD - 98.7 Pipestone, MN, Oldies Radio at 8:45pm. 1174mi. At same time I had an unID on 98.7 with Ryan Seacrest American Top 40 countdown.
KIBZ-104.1, Crete, NE with clear ID “Pure Rock - 104.1 - The Blaze” at 8:46pm. 1191mi.
WMJJ-96.5 Birmingham, AL “Magic 96.5” with “Saturday Night Fever” program at 8:48pm.
Then best catch of the night, thanks to help from Google: I heard commercial on 94.9 for “Hammer Chevrolet, 107 E Alger” which Google says is in Sheridan WY, so…
KZWY-94.9 Sheridan, WY at 9:28pm, state #33 since May 2003, and new long distance record at 1674mi, blowing away former #1 KDGE Dallas by more than 250 miles. KZWY is station #21 and state #18 on 94.9, my best frequency.

I also an unID on 94.9 at 10:04... I thought I heard “Minnesota’s Classic Hits”, so possibly KCPI, but not sure. Mixed in was previously heard Oldies WOLX - WI.

Good DX to all.

I didn't hear much e-skip today, but I did get two new stations this evening

From Coldwater, MI

88.7- KLVV- Ponca City, OK. Praise 88-7, with website mention. Positive ID!

92.5- KPQX- Havre, MT. Country. "The Best Country Around". At 1274 miles, this is about 70 miles shy of my all-time distance record (KGFC 88.9 Great Falls, MT)

This morning on my way to work, I heard a station at 88.7 playing hip-hop. I have noooo idea what station this could have been.

88.7 could have been WJMF, Smithfield, RI from Bryant University.<P ID="signature">______________

It was surreal last night on my scanner as I was receiving the Syracuse NOAA Weather Radio on 162.55Mhz here in Rochester with the same strength as our own local service. I've never heard that before.

Please give us details on this... It's a longer then usual catch. Usual Es is just 1500 miles

That would have been good if I could have confirmed it. I would have got a new state!

WJMF is off the air for the summer.

Might have also been out of Champaign, Illinois... I think (but I'm not certain, I'll check on it) that there is a station there on that frequency that does play some hip hop on occasion.
