Saturday Soap Operas

I ran across an old Brady Bunch episode where Alice is watching a soap opera on a Saturday (and it turns out to be a rerun to boot). It was the "silver platter" episode.

It got me to wondering did any station "back in the day" air soap operas on a Saturday. Growing up in Chicago, all the networks were O&O so they never ran anything out of synch with the network schedule

Maybe more soaps would have thrived with back-to-back reruns on weekends. That could have creatively filled some dayparts… late night… afternoons… maybe even prime for a 30 minute show.
