savage co host idea?

D

remember a few months ago savage said he was going to revise show and add co host and five characters...what happened? also he said every one should back LT Pantano...now that pantano's book is in the top 25 and savage is at 331 (amazon) he won't even mention his name...some supporter of the troops ..I think savage might vaporize fast like morton downey etc

And your basis for such a statement is?

Savage's act is ridiculous and suffers from a serious bipolar streak. How anyone takes him seriously is beyond me...

Nevertheless, he's one of the better ones in the bunch in a world of Lars Larsons, Rusty Humphries, and Jerry Doyles. Yikes.

He dropped the co-hose idea. Personally I don't think it would have been a success.

Savage has never stopped defending Pantano. He's done more for him than most. Here is a page on Savage's Paul Revere Society web site dedicated to Pantano's cause:

http://www.homestead.com/prosites-prs/pantano.html

Savage will vaporize? Nice try. The ratings support no such conclusion.

"He dropped the co-hose idea. Personally I don't think it would have been a success."

I think we've arrived at that conclusion... but why did he? Maybe he should shut up about ideas he hasn't fully developed

I agree with KJCB, the Savagebot has flipped a cog in there somewhere. He says so many things he really has no intent to carry through on, and likewise his wacko right-wing statements just give conservatives a bad name. His hyperbole is entertaining but his show seems to have no purpose other than to elevate himself above all others.

As for a co-host, bad idea. Unless it's someone he disagrees with. But then the show would need moderator.

Or a referee.

It is entertaining, but as you say, in a non-serious, trainwreck kind of way. And from people in the business, not the guy you'd want to have a drink with. At least other people with arrogant schticks, ie Rush, drop them off the air.

Hey, at least he realizes his insanity is more entertaining than any guest he could bring on and keeps those to a bare minimum, unlike Hannity & Co. who bore me to death with an endless parade of sleep-inducing guests

BTW, the sappy Rick Roberts was in the Savage yesterday and failed Jones talker Peter Weisbach is in today. Guess Michael's insanity forces him to take 13 weeks of vacations a year

I agree hannity and his guests are boring and predictable....there is a line between that and shooting from the hip too much....I thought the guest host and character idea might have had potential...maybe he should have tried it when he was on vacation.....it wasn't just and idea advanced ..he took tapes from people across the country......as far as raising money for troops...I think that is a good idea because I think the low ranks are being scapegoated
