Savage Garden on B96

Now that made me drop my jaw.

Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You was just on The Slow Jam Mixtape.

Not a surprise at all. That song was played in heavy rotation in 1997. I remember hearing re-mixes of the song on the old At-Work Dance Party.

I Knew I Loved You was released in 1999. You must be thinking of Truely Madly Deeply, I Want You or To The Moon & Back.

But otherwise, it still suprised me to hear Savage Garden on today's B96. It was immediately followed by a hip hop/R&B/etc song (Chris Brown - Yo)<P ID="signature">______________

Oh sure, no surprise at all. Are you kidding me? On today's B96? Savage Garden? Must have alot of leniency during that show. I guess GCI should play Careless Whisper AGAIN too? No surprise if heard there I guess.

How many people listening to B96 today even remember Savage Garden?

Even AC and Hot AC stations don't play them much anymore....

On the other hand...if they were looking for an "oh wow" song...they got it.

I am with Jeremy here....B96 played "Iris" and "How You Remind Me" as well...and they shouldn't be played on there now at all

Opps Yeah sorry. I read the wrong title.

Here is the reason why it is not surprising.

It is how they get away with saying "Hits" and Hip-Hop. So the advertisers like them better. That is all.

Don't think its a big deal what they are playing on the Slow Jam show. They also had been playing Stevie B and NSYNC and Backstreet Boys on the show.

Of other note, they are playing the new Nick Lachey song now, haven't heard it yet but I imagine its not Hip Hop

Like I said in another posting, B96 has been rotating the crap out of Cascada's, "Everytime we Touch". They didn't even rotate Madonna's, "Hung Up" as much. I guess people are FINALLY tiring of the the Hip-Hop "thug life".

Great, maybe they can throw in that horrible new song from Kevin (Spears) Federline, too.
